Shopify POS discount codes are available on POS Lite and POS Pro when offers are active, enabled for the POS sales channel and intended location, and the cart meets their conditions.

AIOD supports eligible automatic discounts on POS Pro. Staff can also enter a code or use the optional AIOD smart-grid tile to select a code offer and tap Apply code.

Shopify POS Lite does not support automatic discounts. AIOD's distinctive Lite workflow uses a POS smart-grid tile to let a cashier select and apply an eligible code offer with a tap instead of memorizing or typing the code. This is still a cashier-triggered code discount, not an automatic discount.

AIOD's discount setup offers All locations or selected POS locations within an offer. For a US retailer with stores in Chicago, Austin, and New York, a Chicago-only weekend discount can be scoped directly to Chicago. Shopify also has Retail markets that can target groups of POS Pro locations where supported, so the distinction is AIOD's direct per-offer location picker, including the Lite code workflow.

The guide explains setup, the POS Lite tile flow, common eligibility failures, and when to choose each workflow. It includes AIOD's POS Lite video walkthrough and links to AIOD and Shopify documentation.
