When to use it

Whenever someone refers to a discount in words rather than by id — “my summer BOGO”, “the free gift offer”, “the 10% off tees”. Start here. Every other store tool needs the id this returns, and there is nowhere else to get one. It gives you setup and status only. For the money, use Discount performance. Parameters

Usually, don’t pass query. A merchant’s “my summer sale” rarely matches the stored “Summer 2026 — 20% sitewide”, so filtering returns nothing while listing everything lets you match on meaning.

What comes back

Newest first. The underlying scan is bounded, so a store with a very large number of discounts may not have every single one represented — narrow with query if that happens.

Limits

  • Covers only the automatic discounts AIOD manages. Discount codes, and discounts created directly in Shopify or by another app, are not included.
  • Reads no orders, products, or customers.
  • Reaches exactly one store — the one that was approved when the connector was set up.
